Apogee Fixed Installation (AFI Series) Speakers

The Apogee Fixed Installation Speakers (AFI-Series) feature high power output, a distinctive modern appearance, versatile rigging, and the characteristic low distortion response that makes Apogee products unique.

The AFI series is a "processor optional" series, allowing the installer to decide if and what type of processing they wish to employ.

The use of an AFI processing card affords the installer not only the protection of adjustable limiting circuits, but electronically enhances the acoustic performance of the AFI product for which it was designed. This affords the installer a fast, low cost, and accurate system set-up, leaving only room equalization as needed.

The AFI processor provides the following functions:
 • Active protective limiting to guard against abuse

 • Fixed EQ points to flatten the response and extend the
   low and high frequencies

 • Electronic crossovers for the bi-amped models

To help the installer get the maximum performance from our product, Apogee makes available all gain, limiting and equalization for the complete AFI series upon request.

The AFI-4 can be ordered with a 60º x 45º or a 90º x 45º rotatable high frequency horn. This allows the loudspeaker to be installed in either a vertical or horizontal position without compromising optimum coverage. An added benefit of the rotating horn is exceptionally tight pattern control in both axes, due to the symmetrical shape of the horn's perimeter.
